Tara is a busy but very happy wife and mother to 4 children, 2 daughters and 2 sons. She has been supporting and educating families in pregnancy and childbirth since 2006 and has been training childbirth educators and doulas since 2010.  Tara’s driving passion is to see mothers and babies in pregnancy and birth humanized and treated according to their immeasurable worth.  She believes that when mom and baby are loved and cared for properly during their most impressionable years together, the entire family benefits – and healthy, empowered families are what ultimately build healthy, whole societies.  Tara’s energies in training up more educators and doulas are fueled by her longing to see the humanization of birth take place on a global scale, for the millions of forgotten, underprivileged mothers and babies of the developing world.

Tori has been married to her husband Jason for 9 years and together they have 5 children. Her passion to serve women in childbirth began in 2007 after the birth of her first son. It was an amazing, empowering experience that she wanted every woman to have and it was that desire that inspired her to become a doula and childbirth educator. In these roles, she loves helping women make their pregnancy and birth as empowering and humanizing as possible. Her family plans to live in El Salvador in the next few years, where her plan is to practice as a midwife.

After experiencing a C-section with her first child in 2006, Celesta became passionate about empowering and educating women during the childbearing season.  With degrees in Biology and Chemistry and a background in adult education, she takes great joy in equipping families to approach their births with confidence.  She also feels honored to provide support, advocacy, and reassurance to women and families as a labor and postpartum doula.  Celesta is currently completing requirements to become a certified professional midwife.  She hopes to serve the women of Uganda as she, along with her husband and 3 girls, look forward to moving to East Africa in the future.

Megan’s passion to serve women during the childbearing year began when she was inspired by the women of her own community as they began their journeys into motherhood and eventually found empowering experiences through education. It was then that she pursued education to become a Childbirth Educator and Doula and became driven by the need for birth workers both in Nashville, and especially in the developing world. Megan believes that parents can make excellent decisions for their growing family when they are informed through empowering education. She is involved in the training of others pursuing an occupation in Childbirth Education as an instructor, which she finds very rewarding. She finds great joy in offering compassionate service to women during their most precious and vulnerable moments in life as they bring children into the world. She plans to pursue midwifery to serve long-term in Uganda, where she has experience serving families through education and birth support.

Meg is a passionate woman who loves to serve both mother and baby during the childbearing years.  She is married and has a one year old son and plans on having many more children in the future.  She loves to support expecting parents by empowering them through education and supporting them in birth.  One of her passions in the childbirth field is to offer breastfeeding counseling to mothers.  She also loves to capture the precious moments during and after birth with her skill of photography.  She plans on moving to the Philippines in the future with her family to serve women by educating expecting families and attending births.  Her hope is to become a midwife one day and utilize those skills to help preserve the life of both mother and baby.

After experiencing the needs of pregnant and laboring women both locally and abroad, Elise could not deny her need for education in this realm of healthcare. Elise loves educating families, supporting women during labor and birth, and assisting them during their postpartum time.  Elise has served women in Nashville and Latin America, and wants every woman to have the best possible start to her family’s beginnings. She is currently pursuing midwifery, with the long term goal to serve women and families in Latin America. While Elise’s heart is to serve all women, she strongly desires to serve adolescent mothers.
