Kendice Hartnell

CHILDBIRTH EDUCATOR, Labor Doula & Postpartum doula

Credentials: Certified Childbirth Educator, Trained Labor Doula, Trained Postpartum Doula

During my own pregnancy and labor, I learned just how much the birthing experience influences the confidence and health of women as they transition into motherhood. It is a moment that affects the entire family and for this reason, my goal is to help build confidence through supporting mothers and fathers during pregnancy and birth. I’m driven to humanize and empower families in the birth process. I believe that when new life is brought into the world, the family’s experience should be honored and protected. I also serve as NOVA’s service liaison to Nashville’s refugee and immigrant families. I am passionate about organizing pregnancy and labor support for non-English-speaking mothers who are trying to navigate care in a foreign hospital system.  My husband's name is Geoff, he is an organic farmer by day and a supportive doula-dad by night. Together we have two daughters, Ava and Adele.
