Megan Fleeman Ssekabira

Childbirth Educator, Labor Doula & Postpartum Doula

Credentials: Bachelors of Community Development, Certified Childbirth Educator, Certified Labor Doula, Trained Postpartum Doula

I sought out an education in childbirth and women’s health after being inspired by several of my friends’ journeys into motherhood.  I felt compelled by the need for birth workers in Nashville, and third world environments. I have worked in East Africa as a birth attendant and educator of mothers and birth workers. I believe that parents can make excellent decisions for their growing family when they are informed through empowering education, and I find great joy in offering compassionate services to women during their most precious and vulnerable moments in life. My experience supporting families in both the birth and postpartum setting includes families with multiples, those conceiving with IVF, high risk pregnancies, advanced maternal age, adoption, VBAC, clients on bed rest, premature birth, single parents, water birth, home birth, and special needs babies.  I also have experience with the Hypnobabies birthing method.  I am married to a sweet and supportive husband, Moses, and I will be giving birth to our first child in December of 2016
