Labor Doula, Childbirth Educator & Birth Photographer

Credentials: Bachelor’s of Social Work, Certified Labor Doula, Certified Childbirth Educator

I am a busy but very happy wife and mother to five children - three daughters and two sons.  My husband and I have been married for 18 years.  I have been supporting and educating families in pregnancy and childbirth since 2006 and have been training childbirth educators and doulas since 2010.  My driving passion is to see mothers and babies in pregnancy and birth humanized and treated according to their immeasurable worth.  When mom and baby are loved and respected during their most impressionable years together, the entire family benefits – and healthy, empowered families are what ultimately build healthy, whole societies.  My energies in training educators and doulas are fueled by my longing to see the humanization of birth take place on a global scale, for the underprivileged mothers and babies in the developing world.

Continued Education and Training: Neonatal Resuscitation Certified (2012), Breech Birth Workshop with Anne Frye (2007), KAPPA Lactation Education Workshop (2007). Midwifery Today Conference with Ina May Gaskin (2010 & 2011), Midwifery Volunteerism in Developing Countries Seminar with Vicky Penwell (2011), Mid-Pacific Womb Ecology Conference with Dr. Michel Odent (2012), Optimal Fetal Positioning Workshop with Gail Tully (2014), Midwifery Today Conference (2016).
